Joomla 1.6: Is it so good?

Recently I have read post about the troubles that will met any sure who would start building it’s website using Joomla 1.6. Here are some points, quoting the author:
6 reasons why you should not wait for Joomla 1.6

1. Uncertainty
No one knows when it will be released. Not even when the beta version will be released.
2. Instability.
When Joomla 1.6 is released, there will be a lot of patches released before the software is stable enough for a production site.
3. Incompatibility.
Because Joomla 1.6 has a lot of new functions, your favorite extensions will not work as is. They will need to be updated and tested to  utilize the new Joomla 1.6 ACL functions, removed sections, nested categories etc.
4. Lacking support
The support for new software will obviously not be as extensive as with established software.
5. Missing documentation
Most likely, the documentation for Joomla 1.6 will not be released at the same time as the software itself. It takes time, and someone has to do it.
6. Incomplete language support
Most languages will not be ready at the time of the Joomla 1.6 release.

Ok, we agree with that language problem but I think that Joomla has really great community and it’s not gonna be a problem to make a professional translation. About uncertainty – actually it’s not a big problem because there are many good examples that show us value of really good products that were created with really huge time resources, so we just hope that 1.6 will be very good. As for extensions – of course it is normal that new software requires new extensions and I don’t think that all Joomla 1.5 extensions were released same day day with 1.5 version.

To cut a long story short – we are still believe that new 1.6 version will be something really awesome despite all those pessimist forecasts.
